A portfolio for my college projects.
As an ongoing project I am working with an artist to reskin my FMP from last year. I think this will be really good experience working with someone else - particularly an artist on a project. However I don’t currently have anyhting to show. The repository can be found here
Along side our year 2 practical project we made TicTacToe with a twist and I decided to make a 3D physics based TicTacToe. You can play it here if you are interested. It works using similar principles to other 3D TicTacToe games - it uses gravity to pull the blocks down and you can get 3-in-a-row in any direction - however it doesnt have the support rods used in most physical 3D TicTacToe games which means that blocks can fall (or be knocked) off which I think lead to some more interesting and engaging gameplay. You can also edit the physics of the naughts and crosses so they are more bouncy, have less friction or have a higher mass - allowing you to mix up the gameplay each time.
The audio was sourced for free online but the art and visuals - as well as all of the gameplay and mechanics - were made by me.
I made a Christmas-themed Space Invaders as a sort of Christmas card that would be sent out to people. I worked with a classmate who did some art and I made the gameplay and music. I also implemented a global leaderboard that is a database hosted on a webserver. The game can be played here if you are interested, although it is quite basic. It was still a fun project to make and with the small amount of time I had to do it in before Christmas I think it turned out alright.
The Tower (also Diyus Tower) was a platformer/arcade style arena game I made for a Game Jam. However I never finished it in time and so whilst I did complete it eventually, I never submitted it. I did upload it to an unlisted Itch.IO page here if you would like to check it out.
The audio and art were sourced from the internet as opposed to being made by me.
Whilst I do a good amount of both coding and Unity in particular, I often make small proof-of-concept apps to learn about things such as player animation or experimenting with a specific player movement idea. But these aren’t really developed into anything very exiting or playable.
